NYC Commercial & Business Litigation FAQ
What is commercial litigation?
Commercial litigation is a broad area of law dealing with resolving disputes in business and commercial settings stemming from commercial relationships.
Are there any alternatives to commercial litigation?
Yes, alternative dispute resolutions (the option of mediating, arbitrating, or settling the case out of court) are becoming increasingly popular as it allows all involved parties to possibly save a great deal of time and money. Call Michael Gunzburg P.C. and we will help you navigate through the plethora of options and pursue the best path for your company or organization.
What are the differences between mediation and arbitration?
Mediation is a process through which all parties involved in the dispute meet with a neutral third-party mediator who attempts to help the parties come to a mutually agreeable solution to their case without having to go to trial. Arbitration is where both parties agree to employ a neutral arbitrator to hear and decide the outcome of their matter. Arbitrations are generally binding not appealable under most normal circumstances.
