Five Year Old Killed After Fall Down Elevator Shaft
On Tuesday, August 19, 2008 a 5 year old boy fell down an elevator shaft at a Brooklyn apartment house.
The 5 year old, Yankov Moshe Neiman, and his brother were on their way to school, boarded the elevator on the 11th floor, and got stuck between floors. When they pressed the button, the door proceeded to open and Yankov tried to jump on the ledge between floors. He lost his balance and fell 10 floors. His 9 year old brother stayed in the elevator until rescued by police and fire officials.
